Advert
For the Advert I have basically Got the front cover and removed everything of it, and making it look like the door has been closed and the light is seeping through, i decided to do this like this rather than just have a picture of the CD, i wanted alittle variation while still touching the cover in a way.The Programs i used for this was:
Adobe Fireworks, Paint and Microsoft Photo editor.
Adobe Fireworks was used for the whole project, the designing and the colour.
Paint was used for most of the writing (on the back) becasue there was a constant problem with the typing, and paint was also a better way and less complicated way of cropping an image.
Microsft Photo Editor was Used to Give the best format for the picture so it owuld be easier to upload.
For the CD/DVD combo, il be having normal cd Case layout with an insert that flips out for the DVD on one side and the CD on the other.
The Name for the CD/DVD is "Dont worry Iv got the door" this is becasue i feel it to show a way of helping, as in il hold the door for you, and also a way to show im leaving, dont worry il close the door on the way out, and i feel becasue of the song i used this was the rirts place to focus on.
For the main cover (Front and back) i used a picture that i took of the sky, and i changed the Hue/Saturation to make it red, then changed the brightness and contrast to make it darker.
I then on the front cover used a silhouette Template to get the image of the man, then i used alow opacity box to go behind the man to create
an almost image of a door, then streaked the brush in white to show as if the door has been opened. The Font is called "BSB DF 50" I then used a pre set style to give it a darker and thicker look.
In the side of the CD I used the same font and the same process i just inverted the finale part to give a whiter look against the darker side of the background.
The Back Cover was done in a basic font to make it easier to read, and the side part of this was the same as the other just turned around as they are like on normal CD casses.

My next Project to go along side the Music Video was to advertise the video and create a digipack, i would do this by first creating a CD/DVD combo and make my own Case and design this to go with my Muisc, i got my template and measurments for this from this website: http://www.discwizards.com/templates/digipak6Panel2CD-DW.pdf
I started of by working in this size then relised it was to big to publish on the blog and created a smaller version of this combo.
The next i was looking at was to create an advertisment for the eith the CD or the actual music video, i decided to do this as an advertsiment within a magazine (or even a poster) to adver
tise the CD.
When I was looking at other artists who do this, by even releasing the advertisment before the CD, to advertise it and then release the CD at a later date, so i decided it would be best to look at an artist who has a CD coming out soon.
I looked at Bullet for my valentines upcoming release of their album fever:
This Is posted around sevral websites as well as in magazines, this was the advert for the whole CD, the other one was the actual CD cover with this at the bottom.
This was their CD cover and this is basiclly what the advert looked like as well.
When I look at most comparisons they all seem to do the same, except some may use a diffrent colour from what the cover would be but most time they would all be very similar and all basicllay have the CD cover on the advert.
